K-9 Top Performance provides safe, supervised doggy daycare at our facilities in Reading and Worcester, Massachusetts. Daycare gives your dog the exercise, socialization, and mental stimulation they need while you are at work, running errands, or just need a break. Our professionally trained staff works with each dog to ensure a positive, enriching experience.
Dogs in our daycare program are grouped by temperament and size, so every dog is in a comfortable environment. Our facilities feature spacious indoor play areas and, at our Worcester location, dedicated outdoor spaces as well. Every moment is supervised by staff who know and care about your dog.
A tired dog is a happy dog. Dogs that attend daycare regularly benefit from consistent exercise, improved social skills, and reduced anxiety and destructive behavior at home. Our daycare is not a warehouse — it is a structured environment where dogs play, rest, and interact with trained staff throughout the day.
All monitored by the staff with HD cameras. We do not have client access to cameras.

Best place ever! They truly treat my dog like one of their own! I live in New Hampshire and drive all the way to Reading because I know I can trust them! Karen at the front has been nothing but helpful and friendly. My Benny was trained by Nick who was extremely patient and took the time to form a bond with us. I would recommend K9 Top Performance to anyone who owns a pooch.
I’ve been professionally training dogs for 20+ years. I have my own training facility in NH but wanted a separate place to come train my Belgian Shepherd in protection - something I don’t specialize in. Despite other options in my area, my criteria for a trainer that was positive, motivating, and good with humans and dogs (especially puppies) was imperative so I was very picky about whom I wanted to work with. I was told about Steve from a client who had also worked with him with her GSD and I decided to call. I am thrilled I did. The staff is incredibly welcoming and full of positive feedback, the dogs are happy, and both my dog and I leave wanting to go back. Thank you to Karen and Steve, you’re stuck with us now.
There are many options for training and daycare facilities in the Reading area and the decision to use K9 top performance was based on the methods they use to train dogs and how they treat them. I have been bringing both my dogs here since the eldest was 6 months old, he’s now almost 4. We over the years have used the K9 camps, both individual and group obedience training, and regularly use the doggie daycare.
Yes. All dogs must complete an evaluation before their first day. This allows our staff to assess your dog’s temperament and ensure they will be a good fit for the daycare environment.
We require proof of Rabies, Distemper/Parvo, Bordatella and of town dog license (per Massachusetts state law, all dogs over 6months of age must be licensed in their town of residence to be in our facility).
Drop off and pickup are during set windows to minimize disruption to the pack. Check the specific hours for each location.
